Until recently, Talley Group Ltd’s printing needs were serviced by 28 printers, varying in both make and model which was causing major headaches for the IT department; “We are only a small department, and were spending all day changing toner cartridges and ordering replacements, leaving little time for the far more important jobs to be done” explains Tom Howells, Systems Administrator for Talley Group Ltd. “Additionally, most of the old printers were not networked, which limited staff access to them and made them impossible to monitor from a central location.”
Mr Howells realised that something needed to be done and so consulted Swift Digital, who immediately recommended Kyocera machines to solve their problems. “Swift Digital had given us excellent service with regards to all our copying needs for over five years, so it was a ‘no brainer’ to move our printing business over to them as well.
They have always been extremely reliable when supplying us with copiers in the past, most of which were Kyocera, so when they recommended Kyocera to solve our printing issues, we decided to take a look.”

Talley Group Ltd has now replaced the 28 printers they originally had with just 16 Kyocera printers, which are proving to be more than capable of carrying out the combined duties of their 28 predecessors. All 16 Kyocera printers are linked to the network which makes problem solving and cost monitoring much easier. They also use Kyocera KM Net-Viewer which lets them see exactly what is going on with all of their printers from one central location, making monitoring and problem solving much easier.
Mr Howells is extremely happy with the way in which his new printing arsenal has helped Talley Group Ltd to operate more efficiently; “The new Kyocera printers have helped on so many levels. We now have more time in the IT department to get on with things that are really important instead of fixing minor printing problems all day. We have also saved an incredible amount of money since we started using Kyocera; we don’t have to order as much toner as we used to and using multiple machines of the same model means we only have to keep a buffer stock for those few models. Before we switched, we had to keep cartridges for over ten different models!”
“We definitely plan to stay with Kyocera when it comes to adding additional printers and copiers or replacing existing Kyocera machines. We now consider ourselves to only use Kyocera.”
