Year on year reductions in consumption of key resources are reported here monthly.
For the period April 2010 to June 2010 inclusive, compared with the same period last year, our savings are:
- Gas - up 228%
- Electricity - down 6.5%
- Paper - down 52.7%
The sharp increase in gas consumption has declined slightly as no gas was consumed during June, but the impact of the very cold weather experienced in winter and spring will take a while to reverse. Heating is now off for the summer and we hope for a warm autumn. We'll continue to work on overturning the increase. It's reassuring to see that the very hot weather experienced during June did not result in an increase in electricity consumed by air conditioning units.
